A Foolproof Guide to OMEN 30L Gaming Desktop PC
Compared to many of its competitors, the HP Omen 30L Gaming Desktop has one significant advantage: it is hushed. HP Omen 30L switches on with a soft buzz and emits ambient white noise when you’re playing demanding games on your computer.
The Omen 30L has a lot going for it, even compared to the jet engine sounds of other recent gaming rigs. It is also a competent everyday productivity computer.
Even when you do load up your favorite games, the Omen 30L renders them wonderfully, allowing you can play them in high resolutions while maintaining smooth frame rates.
This computer, which is equipped with an Nvidia 3080 GPU, an Intel Core i9 processor, and 32 GB RAM, can handle just about anything, from word processing and music to graphic creation and video playback, as well as immersing you in challenging single- and multiplayer games.
Granted, you will not be able to experience the might of the Omen 30L if you cannot locate one. Because of these devices’ confusing availability and high pricing, discovering one of these machines is not always straightforward. Furthermore, you’ll have to erase a slew of pointless bloatware and replace the mouse and keyboard that came with the computer as soon as possible.

While the Omen 30L lacks the fine-tuning capabilities available with a custom-built PC, it works as expected, which is ultimately what matters. Performance is comparable to benchmarks on a 10900K and RTX 3080 combination found online.
Apart from the lack of choices in the bios for truly fine-tuning this machine, my only critique would be the sound of the fans when gaming and the slightly elevated temperatures.
This HP Omen 30L is merely due to the case’s compact size and the limited capabilities of the three fans (120mm front, 92mm rear, and 120mm radiator at the top). RTX 3080 temperatures in the mid-70’s and 10900K temperatures around 80 in Warzone at 4k with all the eye candy enabled are fine.
I’m going to replace the radiator fan with a Noctua NF-A12x25 in the hopes of lowering the CPU’s temperature and volume when under load. It’s pretty quiet while idle.
The RTX 3080 was designed specifically for this PC. It features three fans with a curve that turns them off when the temperature drops to about 30 degrees or lower. When the temperature is barely above that point, the middle fan operates at 30% of capacity on its own.
When the three lovers are working, you can hear them, but nothing out of the ordinary or obnoxious. Overclocking is done through the Omen Command Center, not the bios.
The memory is already set to the only option available. Thus, with the temperatures where they are, there is nothing more to gain from overclocking. This HP Omen 30L is a gaming PC for someone looking for cutting-edge technology in a no-frills package that runs at factory rates. Simply power it on, load your games, and play.
This PC is ideal for gamers and content developers who want to plug and play. Tweakers hoping to spend hours wringing every ounce of performance out of it may be disappointed.
