How to know your Graphics Card?
A graphics card, sometimes known as a GPU, is found on almost all PCs. But how can you tell what kind of video memory your PC has? Whether it’s built into the motherboard (like IntelHD Graphics) or an add-on component (such as the Nvidia GeForce 750 model), knowing what powers your PC is crucial.

The first option: know your graphics card thanks to the Windows task manager
The first choice is to examine your Windows task manager to see which graphics card is installed on your system. To launch the task manager, try these four methods:
- Start taskmgr with “start”;
- Right-click on the taskbar, then on “Task Manager.”
- To access the Windows security menu, simultaneously press and hold the Ctrl + Alt + Del keys.
- Finally, execute the following keyboard combination: Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
When you remove one of these alternatives, the video card’s name appears in the GPU 0 area. This is under the “Performance” tab. Click Finish to confirm your selection. Finally, in the top right corner, you’ll see your PC’s manufacturer and model number.
Second option: using the DirectX diagnostic tool
At the start menu, type “dxdiag” and press the “Enter” key. Pressing the “Enter” key will launch DirectX.
On the DirectX diagnostic tool’s 1st page, you’ll find information regarding your system: the operating system, details of the processor (CPU), available RAM, BIOS version, and computer manufacturer.
The tab labeled “View” contains information that is important to us. To access it, choose “Next page.”

Third option: use the “System information” tool
Right-click on the Start button, then click “Run command” from the drop-down list. Click “Open Run window here,” select “msinfo32” and press OK to start the program.
When the “System Information” window appears to be open. In front of “Components,” click more. Then go to “Display.” You’ll discover information about the graphics card in the right region (the kind of card, RAM, specifics, etc.)
Fourth option: looking at the computer
If you can’t get the computer to start. If, for example, your computer has broken down. It’s possible to figure out what kind of graphics card it has (designer, model, etc.).
The name and brand of the card are readily visible after hiding under the machine’s hood.
