What to do when the MSI battery is not charging & How to Fix It?

If your MSI battery is not charging, check to see if anything in the surrounding environment is causing the problem. If it’s been determined that there’s no issue with the external environment, you should double-check whether your machine has turned on the “Hybrid Power Supply Function” or “Dragon Center/Creator Center Setting.”

Please make sure the power cable is intact and replace another power outlet to be certain.

The function of the Hybrid Power Supply

The MSI Laptop design gives system power supply precedence: while running a heavy 3D application, the CPU and GPU are heavily loaded, and electricity will give system power priority and cease charging the battery when the CPU and GPU loading is reduced; AC energy will begin to charge the battery again. This is natural.

Hybrid Power might be found on MSI laptops: when the CPU and GPU are under heavy usage, the system will begin to combine the power from the battery and AC supply, allowing the CPU and GPU to overclock for a long time. This function allows people to play some big games in better conditions.

(Note): This function can be utilized when the battery power is greater than 30%. If it’s less than 30%, it will automatically stop. To restart this function, charge the battery to 80% or more or manually disconnect the AC power between 30% and 80 percent.

Dragon Center/ Creator Center Setting

If your MSI laptop does not charge to 60% or 80%, go to “Dragon Center” to check the settings.

To view the battery status, go to Start and enter “MSI Dragon Center.” Check the current battery setting condition by launching the “MSI Dragon Center” software. If the battery is in the balance maintenance mode or the optimal maintenance mode, please click the circle in front of the long-term use option to change it to this setting.

The battery in a wheelchair provides mobility, but it also weighs significantly more than a laptop computer. Therefore, when you charge the battery 100 percent all the time, there is no problem with it being heavy for your needs.

If the battery is completely depleted, charge it when it’s under 70 percent charged and stop charging when it’s at 80 percent.

Ideal for Quick Charging: When the battery is less than 50%, charge it until 60%; then, stop charging.

MSI Laptop Plugged in Not Charging

Do you have problems with your MSI laptop not charging? If your answer is Yes, then try this solution.

Other people’s computers might not charge the battery. The percentage might be between 0 and 100 and it won’t charge at all. Instead, the battery decreases instead of charging up.

It is important to take care of your battery. Make sure that you do not connect the charger to your laptop when it is on. Disconnect the battery first and then only use the charger.

Most modern laptops can work by being plugged in all of the time. This way, their battery doesn’t get destroyed. But make sure to turn your laptop off before disconnecting the charger.
